Select Command = "SELECT [ID], [Project], [Description], [CAPEX] FROM [CAPEX] where [Team] = 'Team1'"Grid View1. Data Bind()End Sub Private table Copied As Boolean = False Private original Data Table As System. Data Table Protected Sub Grid View1_Row Data Bound(By Val sender As Object, By Val e As System. The code looks placed outside of a databound control.

Select Command = "SELECT [ID], [Project], [Description], [CAPEX], [Team] FROM [CAPEX]"'Add Conditional Statements to change view for users/Teams'Sql Data Source1. Unless you place the gridview inside an Update Panel, I'd say it has to be bound, and then the If Not Is Post Back Then is incorrectly placed.

hi,i have used gridview in 2005 wit c#.i need to update my tat i hv placed dropdownlist, checkbox its not updating the i edit the row,we have dropdownlist but not tat database when i edit the row the database value should be in dropdown i click update link i got this error.

up vote 0 down vote favorite I have a Gridview on an ASP page bound to an SQL table. An update panel, when configure for partial updates, will only update, meaning transmit back to the browser, it's own contents.

I don't know why dynamically binding the Gridview would cause an error in rowupdating.

This includes all the binding that auto-occurs due to databound controls having their Data Source ID Property filled in.

When you bind a Grid View through a Data Source ID, the Grid View will update this value since it is internally tracking the sort expression, so it knows when to switch between ascending and descending.

We can implement it in this way without a performance impact because the data is not actually retrieved from the database until required, so we can build up a chain of queries up to that point and only the end result will be pulled from the database.

The way we’ll accomplish this is to create two properties that store those values in View State.

After specifying the query, we add the appropriate sorting.

I am using Row Data Bound Event but I think I'm missing some steps. Buttons with Command Name="Update" or Command Name="Edit" would do something like that.

NETxtbox as long as the user hasn't check the checkbox beside it. Protected Sub GV_1_Row Data Bound(By Val sender As Object, By Val e As gridview | this question edited Apr 28 '15 at asked Apr 28 '15 at Sherif 1 1 1 Something is causing Row Updating and Row Editing to be fired, so you need to handle them in your code.

Clickoriginal Data Table = CType(View State("original Values Data Table"), System. Data Table)For Each r As Grid View Row In Grid View1. Data Bind()End Sub Protected Function Is Row Modified(By Val r As Grid View Row) As Boolean Dim current ID As Integer Dim current Project As String Dim current Description As String Dim current CAPEX As Stringcurrent ID = Convert. It seems Gridview1.rowupdate is also firing events Row Updated and Rowupdating. – fnostro Apr 29 '15 at will generate a button with Command Name="Edit".
